Meet Katie Dukelow, the Fire Prevention Public Educator with Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service.  Katie developed an early interest for fire safety, inspired by her father, a career firefighter with a major city fire department. This childhood curiosity ignited a lifelong commitment to ensuring the safety of her community. Katie's journey in fire safety education began while she was a volunteer firefighter with the Brock Township Fire Department, where she served as the Fire Prevention Inspector and Public Educator.

Katie's commitment to her community doesn't end with the television screen. She actively engages with schools, community centers, and local events, spreading awareness about fire safety and encouraging proactive measures to prevent emergencies.

Katie hopes to inspire families to take proactive steps toward fire safety, making homes in Kawartha Lakes safer, one episode at a time.
